Tri-CED forms partnerships with community based organizations, schools, faith based organizations, teachers, students and the general public to promote recycling through source reduction activities and community education programs designed to reduce the waste stream and raise awareness about the preservation of our environment.
As a non-profit corporation we are eligible to receive grants from public and private foundations and from individuals like you. Your donation to Tri-CED is fully tax deductible.
Donations are usually targeted for youth employees or to help in the development of our Education Center. Tri-CED targets hard to employ young people who work in our Buy Back Recycling Center. Youth employees range in age from 15 to 20 years old. The work experience at Tri-CED helps them learn the world and culture of work. For the majority of our youth employees the work at Tri-CED is their first job experience.
One of Tri-CED’s most important missions as a non profit corporation is to provide work to youth in our service area. We have employed nearly 1000 young people since our start up in 1980. That’s an average of 37 young people per year that transition through Tri-CED at our Buy Back.
We appreciate your support of Tri-CED and encourage you to call our office if you would like to arrange for a visit or tour our facility.
