* Dear Customers,

Thank you for your patience.  We apologize for the long line and wait.

Lack of funding from the State, decreases in material values and increases in operating costs have caused many redemption centers throughout the State to close.  Due to the recent closures of surrounding recycling centers, we are one of the few remaining redemption centers in the area.

We are doing all we can to serve our customers in a safe and timely manner.  Please be in line by 3:00pm to be guaranteed service by closing time.

There’s money in those bottles and cans!

Tri-CED is a certified California Redemption Center. We pay for aluminum cans, plastic bottles, glass bottles, and containers that are labeled with the CRV symbol.  Tri-CED’s Buy-Back Recycling Center serves over 70,000 customers per year, injects over $3 million per year into the local economy and takes 2,500 tons per year of recycling material out of the waste stream.

You can get more than your favorite beverage from these containers. You can also get cash. Thanks to the California Refund Value (CRV), you can return your glass, plastic and aluminum containers for money.

How much can you get for a bottle or can? 5¢ for containers less than 24 ounces 10¢ for containers 24 ounces and larger. Prices are determined by the California Department of Conservation, Division of Recycling and change on a yearly or bi-yearly basis.

As a matter of convenience and efficiency, most recycling centers pay by the pound if you bring in a large load, so be sure to have only CRV containers to get the highest possible refund. You also can request to be paid on a per-container basis if you bring in loads of fewer than 50 per material type you just have to ask the recycler to pay by count instead of by weight.

CURRENT PRICE LIST

Tri-CED Buy Back Center Rules

1.  Daily CRV Load Limits will be enforced. Tri-CED Community Recycling by law cannot accept more than the daily load limits, which are:

  • 100 pounds (lbs) of Aluminum
  • 100 pounds (lbs) of plastics #1-7
  • 2,000 pounds (lbs) of glass (all colors combined)
  • 50 lbs of bag-in-a-box

Any loads exceeding these weights will be denied (a load is defined as all material in one vehicle). We cannot accept any portion of the load; the entire load will be turned away.

2.  Per-Container Redemption vs. By Weight. Customers may request to be paid by count for up to 50 CRV beverage containers of each material type per transaction: 50 glass, 50 aluminum, and 50 plastic.

3.  Only clean, empty, eligible containers will be redeemed. Make sure your containers are whole and free of contaminants such as dirt, excessive liquid or other foreign substances.

4.  Tri-CED Recycling will not provide payment for any non-CRV container or material. State law requires centers to pay California Redemption Value (CRV) refunds for loads that contain ONLY eligible CRV beverage containers. Non-CRV materials must be removed from the load, or the recycling center may reject the load.

5.  All containers must have the CRV label attached. Tri-CED Recycling cannot accept containers for redemption if the label has been removed. Crushed containers are acceptable, provided the CRV label is clearly visible.

6.  Any CRV material brought in vehicles with out-of-state license plates will be limited to $50 in CA CRV redemption. Driver’s license information will be required.

7.  Tri-CED Community Recycling will not issue more than one receipt per vehicle. We cannot split receipts for material brought in one vehicle.

8.  Customers are required to be fully clothed, respectful, and comply with all rules set forth here.

9.  Please bring all your containers separated by type before entering our facility.

10. Please do not block driveways, and yield to oncoming traffic. Make way for our work vehicles.

11. Customers must take any and all plastic bags away with them; we will not dispose of plastic bags onsite.

12. Please review your receipt at checkout. All transactions are final upon receipt.

13. Tri-CED Recycling does not and cannot by law accept any non-CRV material for refund. This material will be given back to the customer.

14. Liquids are prohibited from being poured onto the ground/pavement anywhere on the premises, water included. All liquids must be emptied into the designated liquid drum located in the sorting area. Anyone in violation of this rule will be asked to leave.

15. Customers are not allowed to be on the premises outside of Buy Back operational hours Tues-Sat 9am-4:30pm.

16. Loitering is prohibited. Customers must redeem their CRV material and leave the premises.

17. We reserve the right to refuse service.

 THANK YOU
